School Led Tuition 2021/22
Our funding allocation was updated from £43229 to £54270 between September 2021 and April 2022 for the academic year.
We claimed for £25,000 to cover 2437 hours of actual received tuition that was provided during the academic year.
The government in 2021/22 covered 75% of this cost and the school were expected to fund 25% of the total.

Provision
- All Year 11 were offered Saturday School small group tuition which involved being invited in for six Saturday sessions from 10am-1pm. All Year 11 were offered 18 hours of tuition. We had around 37% attendance.
- All of Years 7-10 were offered on-line small group tuition in English, Maths and Humanities on Saturday morning for a number of one hour sessions.
- All of Years 7-9 were provided with a reader to boost literacy and could receive virtual tuition in the form of modelled reading of the set text from one of our staff for one hour a week over fifteen Saturday sessions.
- One to one tuition during the school day was provided for many PP and vulnerable students who have either a reduced timetable or are at Alternative Provision but receive English and Maths tuition in school. A tutor was employed for 3 days a week.
- PP students who need the most support in Year 7 and Year 8 are given weekly one to one tuition in half termly blocks of literacy and numeracy to ensure all students are secondary ready and able to access the curriculum.
School Led Tuition 2022/23
Our funding allocation is £60,750 for the academic year.
We have delivered 354 hours of tuition between September 2022 and December 2022.
We anticipate claiming for 2622 hours. From £35,397, the government will fund £21238 (60%) and we fund £14158 (40%). The clawback will be £39,512 based on current estimates.
Provision
- All Year 11 are being offered Saturday School small group tuition between January 2023 and May 2023 which involves being invited in for four Saturday sessions from 10am-1pm. All Year 11 are being offered 12 hours of tuition. We expect it to cost £12,600
- One to one tuition during the school day is being provided for many PP and vulnerable students who have either a reduced timetable or are at Alternative Provision but receive English and Maths tuition in school. A tutor is employed for 3 days a week.
