GCE RESULTS

GCE and A-level results will be issued on Thursday 15th August 2019.  The results at this stage are provisional to allow for any enquiries about results to take place. If students are unhappy with their mark, they can have their exam script reviewed.  It is important that students speak to Mrs Begbie, their subject teacher or a member of SLT to discuss their results before making any decisions regarding Post Results Services as a clerical re-check or review of marking can result in the lowering of a grade. Reviewers will not re-mark the script. A student’s written consent is required before any requests can be processed.

If a student’s University place is pending it is recommended to go straight for a Priority Service 2 Review of Marking. For all details and costs of the Post-Results Services available please see the ‘Post Results Services Summer 2019 Services and Fees’ form on the website.  Details and forms will also be available in school on results day.

The Exams Office will be accepting Priority Review of Marking (for students whose place in further/higher education is dependent on the outcome of an urgent review) and Priority Script Requests (for students wanting to see their paper before deciding on whether to request a non-priority Review of Marking) on:

All other enquiries about results and applications will be dealt with when school reopens on 3rd September 2019. Please remember that applications for these services are time sensitive and will not be accepted by the exam boards after the published deadline.

Certificates for qualifications completed this summer will be available to collect from December. Certificates can only be retained for 12 months. If students are unable to collect them personally, they can authorise someone to collect them on your behalf using the permission form on the school website.  Certificates are important documents as they may be required future employers or further education.  Exam boards currently charge approximately £40 per board per season for duplicate copies so it can be costly to replace them.
