How do we engage with where we’re from? What do we feel about the places where we grow up, learn, work, and play? How do we see the physical world around us as a part of our identity?

In this project, young photographers investigated their surroundings, selecting images from their daily experiences that give individual perspectives on Ellesmere Port.

This close scrutiny has a special place in our connected world, where our lives are shared instantly and globally via social media. Our sense of who we are is connected to relationships with friends or commentators from all countries and continents.

Often taken with phones and digital devices, the photographers share their lives and thoughts on Ellesmere Port. Going for a meal, on the way home from school, going to work or on a lunch break, these are images of Ellesmere Port made by the young people living there.
