SUBJECT OVERVIEW

PSHE at The Whitby High School is a planned programme of learning opportunities and experiences that help our young people to grow and develop as individuals, as members of families and communities. It is based on a ‘spiral’ programme which introduces new and more challenging learning while building on what has gone on before which reflects and meets the personal developmental needs of students at the school.

The PSHE curriculum links closely to the statutory responsibilities to promote children and young people’s well-being, safeguarding issues, British values and promoting community cohesion.
