In GCSE Photography you will learn how to use the camera to observe, record and explore ideas. You will develop your camera skills and compositional skills. You will look at other photographers and artists to inform and inspire you. You will learn how to use editing software to enhance your images and develop them even further creatively. You will become confident in researching, developing, and realising an idea or theme. As your knowledge and confidence grows we will encourage you to pursue your own ideas independently and creatively.
You will produce one set of course work worth (60% of your grade) and sit a practical Exam (40% of your grade)
You will be expected to:
Take photographs in your own time
Be open to challenging yourself
Persevere when things don’t go the way you would like
Spend a substantial amount of time working on computers to research, record and edit your work
